The girls and I went to this production by "The Healing Force" which is a family of African Americans that travel around and put on shows of African music with drums and rain sticks and gourdes and such. It was AMAZING. Azzy danced and sang and just had a blast. Anna loved it at first but it being an hour long, she was bored before it was over. This group travels the US and is actually from somewhere in one of the Carolinas. All of the kids (and parents) in the audience had a blast...and it was FREE! We even had to buy the gourde shaker things ($10 each for them...not too bad) before we left because Azlynn was infatuated with it.
If a group named "The Healing Force" comes to your library or community center you should definitely go! It was a lot of fun for us all :)
